Our Story
The story of 2Feet Out Ministries began over 10 years ago when two after-school ministries combined and started meeting at Crossbridge Fellowship Church, in Corpus Christi, TX. The Kid's Club Bible Program was created, drawing children from several apartment complexes in the church's vicinity. Shirley Graham and Barb Savell started dreaming of reaching not only the children but also the families in the apartments as well. After a few years, Oak Park Elementary, (where the children attended), received a grant for their own after-school program. The Kid's Club Bible Program attendance dwindled down from about 40 to just two to three kids. The volunteers had to change to a national in-school mentoring/tutoring program (Kid's Hope USA) in order to maintain their relationships with the children they served. The current Covid-19 pandemic prohibited on-campus visitation. The volunteers learned to ADJUST AND TRUST--adjust to God's ways and trust that He had a plan. The future launch of online tutoring by 2Feet Out volunteers with students will allow the ministry to maintain a presence in the school and community. In March of 2020, God brought together a group of seven men and women with a common goal of sharing the love of Jesus to those in poverty in the entire 78408 Zip Code. In November of 2020, they officially became incorporated as 2Feet Out Ministries. They wanted to see people break free from the poverty cycle, have a relationship with the God who loves them and created them, and has a wonderful plan for their lives. There are many huge obstacles and barriers in this uphill battle, but with the power and love of Jesus Christ, 2Feet Out Ministries will face the challenges with them as their neighbor and friend.
